The AnyTech365 Andalucía Open 2021 Challenger 80, which will be held from March 28 to April 4 at Puente Romano Beach Resort, closes its official player acceptance list for the main draw.
One of the great attractions of the tournament will be to see Pablo Andújar (World No. 55), 2019 champion in a disputed final against Benoit Paire, play in Marbella again. As the second seed we find the Valencian Pedro Martínez, current champion of the tournament, who will try to win his second title in Marbella lands in a row.
Norbert Gombos, Roberto Carballés Baena and Dennis Novak close the top five seeds of the tournament, all of them within the world 'Top-100'.
Also note the other four Spanish players who will try to leave the title at home: Jaume Munar, finalist last year; Carlos Alcaraz, a 17-year-old player and a contender for the Next Gen ATP Finals; Carlos Taberner, who was one step away from the final in 2020; and Bernabé Zapata Mirallés, who will play its third consecutive edition.
To complete the 32 players that will make up the main draw, it will be necessary to add the 23 players already accepted, the 3 wild cards (Holger Rune and two more which will be awarded in the coming weeks), the 4 players from the qualification matches and 2 Special Exempt.
