FIVE SPANISH TRIUMPHS AT THE ANYTECH365 ANDALUCIA OPEN

The AnyTech365 Andalucía Open finish the day with five Spanish victories. Alejandro Davidovich Fokina (5), Feliciano Lopéz (6) and Carlos Alcaraz won on the Manolo Santana court. Jaume Munar and Mario Vilella Martínez are the other two, for almost perfect day for the Spanish tennis.
The day concluded with an exciting victory for Alejandro Davidovich Fokina (5). He came back from a set down against the Bosnian Damir Dzumhur. In front of his crowd and at home, Alejandro won 6-7 (1); 6-2 and 6-2.
Feliciano López, No. 6 Top Seed, showed his best level to beat the Japanese Taro Daniel by a double 6-4. 7 ATP titles champion, López served very well (12 aces and no breaks). The first match for him in Spain and in front of the crowd after all this period.
His rival for a place in quarterfinals will be Carlos Alcaraz. No. 133 FedEx ATP Rankings, Alcaraz defeated the Serbian Nikola Milojevic in two sets: 7-6 (3) and 6-3. The 17-year-old and wild card, showed a great level.
At the same time as Alcaraz - Milojevic, on court 1, Ilya Ivashka beat Pedro Martínez 6-3, 7-6 (2). Martínez could not continue his idyll with Marbella, he was 2020 Challenger 80 champion.
The two finalists from last week in Challenger 80 won their matches. The Italian Gianluca Mager (champion) defeated Mikhail Kukushkin; while his rival in the final, the Spaniard Jaume Munar beat the Swiss Henri Laaksonen. The rivals now, Casper Ruud (third seed) and Fabio Fognini (second seed) respectively.
In the Argentine match of the day, the victory went to Facundo Bagnis against Francisco Cerundolo: 6-3; 7-6 (2). Soonwoo Kwon will be the next opponent.
Another Spaniard into the second round is Mario Vilella Martínez. He won his match against Bernabé Zapata Miralles.
FOUR MORE DOUBLE TEAMS IN QUARTER-FINAL
The doubles draw of the AnyTech365 Andalucía Open continues. Today, victories of the Mexican couple Santiago González and Miguel Ángel Reyes-Varela against Ricardas Berankis and Artem Sitak and Hugo Nys with Tim Puetz versus Roberto Carballés-Baena and Albert Ramos-Viñolas.
On center court, Tomislav Brkic and Nicola Cacic beat Sander Arends and David Pel. Finally, Ariel Behar and Gonzalo Escobar won in the super tiebreak against the Australians Luke Saville and John-Patrick Smith (4).
PABLO CARREÑO, No.1 TOP SEED, DEBUTS
The AnyTech365 Andalucía Open will see the debut of Pablo Carreño Busta. No.1 Top Seed will face Mario Villela who has played really well last week in Marbella.
Albert Ramos (4) will debut too. He will play against Ricardas Berankis. The other two Top Seeds who will be on court, are Soonwoo Kwon (7) and Federico Delbonis (8).
